Just a note on pretence

Pretence is probably one of the most interesting sagas in our age. Politics, Radicalisation, terrorism, institutionalisation and centralisation...mind me if I went too far. What we are told is that pretence is a basis of human psychology, evolution and survival in general.
Pretece is indeed an institution of mega-realms.
A mother pretends not to notice her child in the game of hide-and-seek.
A father pretends to forgive the gravest of errors his child committed. (No patriarchism intended)
A teacher pretends to not notice the commotion in his class.
A lover pretends to turn a blind eye on the ills of the beloved.
The god has been pretentiously looking at us for long now.

How beautiful then pretence is, if for the godly beauty of love?
Thus, anything for love that is unsullied is beautiful....

EDIT:
Basis of Change
A very important use is elucidated by the phrase, "Fake it till you make it..." or Hamlet' "Assume a virtue if you have it not."

Change is usually the scene of within. Just like a fruit naturally ripens from within, but with a little powder, the change scenario reverses. Similarly, Habits, an impression of our long drawn actions and thoughts can be built or put down with trial. (This para is purely an impression I drew from a book I was going through)
