A recent one...Baghban

On this Day, I fondly remember a visit to an old age home  few years back...(Well, I know for sure,, that the memory is not fond. But it is a weird dream -  full of strange tales. I, then was acquainted to only tales of such people - fathers and mothers thrown out of their very house by their very children. For me, it was closest to that famous Rajesh Khanna starrer 'Avtar', a similar movie starring Govinda and  Kader Khan, Baghban or the iconic American movie of the 1930s, Make way for tomorrow. My ideas were not beyond these cinematic portrayals which were generally mixed with songs and instrumental music.

The world progresses towards freedom of knowledge through the RTI, the world is growing  towards a free trade society, towards the realization of human values and human rights, many in the world are falling to the ever-increasing evil that is becoming an inherent part of our society as the world is progressing.

MY TRIP TO AN OLD AGE HOME...IN NAGPUR,MAHARASHTRA, INDIA

Some old age homes are as cheerful as the one shown below...

While some are not so much. Actually, some people are as cheerful as you can see, others are not. There are many who lie in a deep and painful memory of their past, stripping them off their environment, others feel happy that they are now at least at peace and happy with people like them, who loved and cared for each other....

A father or a mother....Happy to leave his/her child forever....One he felt he could endlessly love...

MY TRIP NEAR AN OLD AGE HOME IN KOTA, RAJASTHAN, INDIA  

Of course, the trip was not so happening. I lived near one such Home while in Kota. The organisers had set up a sweet and mithai store with many snacks in order to generate income for the place. However, in their old age, the ladies(for only old ladies stayed there) supported each other. They would talk sitting under the starry skies and would look at the world that knew only running....For they had learnt....the world skids...With it we skid....Our hearts skid many-a-times too...There was tranquility under the skies...Amusement in the run for an old person.... 

HOWEVER, IS THIS WHY YOU SCROLLED TILL HERE?

Well, yes and no.

The world is amusing, isn't it?

Today is Grandparents' Day. I could not speak with mine. But you do speak with yours....

For grandparents mean....LOTS OF LOVE....The first pillar of our social and psychological understanding...They built our builders....They built this society for our parents, they created songs more ancient than we shall ever from a living person....

LOTS of Love, LOTS of gratitude and LOTS of prayers to and for all our grandparents....
