Trailing the edge of stars this night,
On a hallow Christmas eve ,spotting out the bright
And then there came Nicholas - wonder how fat he'd grown
Carrying the vestiges of ancient love
He looked so much like my father in that robe;
A little wrinkle on the cheekbone lair
A little dark on the under eyes
A little bright on the forehead mast
Under the lips, a little drowsed;
Isn't it the same, the very same
The very same to all?
Singing the chimes of an christmas eve
And happily ringing all doors?
It brings about a host of memory
The ancient shards of a christmas tree
A man dressed in a ho-ho suit
Carrying all the toys that bleat
Oft enclosed and oft in a sock
Those toys indeed left in me a spot
And of course, those ancient songs!
Long lost but yet not gone
Alice, Rudolf, Mary and me
We all had a merry time with thee
Now waned in the dusty loft
I fear them I have not forgot (Poetic liberty granted by self!!!!)
Hence I sing every year to all
A very merry christmas dear
The merriest of all to all
Spreading trinkets of chocolaty glee
And never mind the constant purrs
Purrs of wishing that often looks stir
Just carry the small facets of love
A small wind of felicity

And then there came Nicholas - wonder how fat he'd grown
