Shattered Glass
In an ancient desert of clueless times
Stood a mirror built in its prime
A golden frame and a golden built
It shone like ember in every bit
A sharp wail peirced my locks
I was locked in the sounds of epoch
Sounds of the little cries of a boy just styled
The breaking of infancy in a childish ride
Wails of a little husky that was searching love to bloat
Pails of holy water that by the gods could float
Chants and whispers to the holy grails
Sounds of crackling lamps to pray
Sounds of play with soccer ball
Yells and cheers of victory calls
This aghast was broken by time
This aghast was broken by time
A sudden transcendence into youthful prime
But shattering the sky, the clouds fell foul
Cracked to core the earth roared aloud
They swept away the dreams of past
Leaving alone a caricature to last
Living in drear pressure and thrust
The boy moved on even fearing mere dust
He bowed down on trees and shrines
Fearing every moment of that hard earned life
Squeaky, creaky a new life came
It sounded to him all the very same
And began a cycle to rust
Funking seconds from dawn to dusk
In a shock, I lit me sore eyes
Blood was fed to those million spies
The shattered glass lied burning in sands
Crying out loud the pain to be said
A life solitary in it had died
For long had for which even heavens cried
Shattering the glass that had once beamed gods
Only left were the golden odds...
