The Eyes that did Not Open
Far away from here is the nation of snow,
And not long ago, I heard its bellow.
Warm winds of the west when meet the airs of the land
In reverence and love, they slowly bend
And the romance that builds that very hour
Is beyond what a poet through his pen can shower.
One treads through enchanted, seduced by heart
And yet very broken today seem the men of afar.
The peach tree in the centre is today but red
On it was tied a million threads
The lake by its roots does not glow
It has lost parts of its eternal snow.
A little shower rained nearby
A little daisy in it swam
The little host of the garden wryly smiled
In his hands was the famed little lamb.
The nation of snow was warm today
It held on sun but parts of it seemed charred.
And tears in a longing to heal were held
In eyes that heavens did not open
The myriad of blossom stood shattered in them
A dream from which they had awoken
Scared they were, the eyes of hope
And in fear, they did not try
But innately enough, they now know no hope
For there closure today shall ask them never to strive.
In reverence and love, they slowly bend
And the romance that builds that very hour
Is beyond what a poet through his pen can shower.
One treads through enchanted, seduced by heart
And yet very broken today seem the men of afar.
