A World was burnt when I saw you then
A World is burning when I see you now
It kindles in an unfading shade of grief
Warming its men as they die to relief.
We were there when the kiss was shared
When the warmth of hands reached down the back
And the strands of hair that shone by the sun
Touched as they tickled the eyes.
But alas! When the love was been made
Not all viewed it with a mellow visage
The burning first came in eyes
And then withered away the love in spite.
And the warmth of their hearts just raced around
Knowing well their potential about
In a misery did the tale end my lord,
Both died of hunger, food not they sought.
Men still sing of this tale of theirs
Maybe with hate but with some love to spare
And the ones unsung are of similar spree
That sing of malice on the canvas of glee.
Which tale and which character do you find yourself?
In a world unforgiven by time and drear.
For even in the tale of from Eden's demise
The serpent only called to man's inner drive.
