How little of me

Another year has withered,

another day is gone.

Another winter is crawling its way back

shall come again summer in yet another dawn.

I have cried a lot this autumn

and with the leaves have dried my eyes.

For I have lost a couple of flowers in my garden

and I have lost my birds too.

And never shall they return to this valley

and forever shall I wait for them to awake.

Another spring shall go I know

perhaps then in an open world.

Another summer shall come and go

And like you, I shall but await another dawn.
