Long has it been since I last saw this world
Silent and broken it lies around
And yet, I see you, my love
And from the earth below me - petunias sprout.
Was I ever so good to have found you here?
Was I ever so beautiful for you to know?
But...have I ever known a sky under which the two
Of us can be together -
to love and grow?
When all I can say when meet our eyes
is but a humble hello,
how did I end up falling
into an abyss so mellow?
